Wesleyan to Host Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University Athletic Department will be hosting its second annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration this Saturday, January 28th at the Freeman Athletic Center.

The celebration will begin at 12 p.m. and will feature a sports clinic with student-athletes and coaches, as well as free pizza with Wesleyan student-athletes. In addition to the event, participants can watch several Wesleyan women's sporting events for free, as the women's ice hockey team hosts a 'Pink Game' against Bowdoin College at 3 p.m., while the women's basketball team hosts 'Senior Day' against Connecticut College at 3 p.m.

The Freeman Athletic Center is located at 161 Cross Street in Middletown, Conn. The age group for Saturday's National Girls & Women in Sports Day ranges from kindergarten to sixth grade.
