Wesleyan Celebrates National Athletic Trainers Month

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – During the month of March, the Wesleyan University Athletic Department would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of its Athletic Injury Care staff as the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) celebrates National Athletic Trainers Month.

Athletic trainers are health care professionals who work in a variety of settings and are experts in preventing and treating musculoskeletal injuries and sport-related illnesses. The profession offers a continuum of care unparalleled in health care. Athletic trainers are a pertinent component of any athletic department.

Wesleyan would like to thank Director of Athletic Injury Care Joe Fountain, Associate Director of Athletic Injury Care Ken Dompier, Assistant Athletic Trainer Laura Litwin, and Assistant Athletic Trainer Evan Davis for their tireless work throughout the year.

NATA's mission is to represent, engage and foster the continued growth and development of the athletic training profession. To learn more about NATA, visit their website HERE.
