Invest in Champions
Your gifts provide resources necessary to keep us sustainable and competitive in today's intercollegiate landscape while also shaping the future of Wesleyan Athletics. Each year our reliance on private support -- to supplement the department's operating budget -- increases with the rising costs of maintaining a quality NESCAC athletic program.
ANNUAL GIVING TO ATHLETICS
Annual gifts are crucial to the operational expenses Wesleyan Athletics faces daily. Gifts toward annual giving are valuable because their impact is felt immediately. Your gifts are supporting the equipment our athletes compete in, their pre- and post-game meals, travel expenses, assistant coach salaries and much more.
- CARDINAL FUND FOR ATHLETICS
Most vital to the department, these unrestricted gifts give the Athletic Director flexibility to direct funds to areas of greatest need, giving our 600 student-athletes the best possible experience in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.
- VARSITY TEAMS
Your contributions to athletics can be allocated to the sport(s) of your choice. Wes fields 29 varsity athletic teams.
With each completed project we link the past to the present while setting the stage for the future. Current and prospective student-athletes expect the best facilities (they will call home) while competing for Wesleyan University. Current projects include:
A program endowment is a self-sustaining source of funding that supports operational expenses; travel, recruiting and equipment. Endowment returns ensure perpetual support and create a strong foundation on which to build and sustain championship-level programs.
“A high-quality, successful athletics program brings pride to our school, challenges student-athletes to compete at the highest level, and encourages students and alumni to follow and support our teams.
Our student-athletes possess the commitment, determination, and drive to take Wesleyan Athletics to the next level.
We have the momentum. It’s time to move the chains.”
