HADLEY, Mass. – Sophomore outfielder Andrew Keith of the Wesleyan University baseball team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week for his impressive performance during the Cardinals' first week of the season, which featured a five-game winning streak to start the 2017 campaign.
The Millersville, Md. native hit .486, collecting 17 hits with two doubles and four RBIs. He also scored 10 runs and stole six bases, while registering multiple hits in six of the eight games, including a four-hit performance in Wesleyan's 17-9 win over Kalamazoo.
The Cardinals return to the diamond tomorrow, March 21st and will take on the University of Redlands with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Wesleyan then returns to Middletown on Wednesday, March 29th to host Eastern Connecticut State University at 4 p.m. in it's home-opener.
