  • Baseball Splits a Pair of Contests Against Williams on Senior Day

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team (17-17, 5-7) celebrated senior day in exciting fashion, taking down Little Three rival Williams 2-0 in the first game of doubleheader action. The Cardinals looked to sweep the pair of contests, but Eph Kellen Hatheway hit a two-run homer in the ninth to lift Williams past Wesleyan, 5-3.
  • Wesleyan Drops 6-1 Decision at Williams in Game One

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wesleyan baseball team (16-16, 4-6) fell 6-1 at Williams in game one of a three-game NESCAC West series on Friday. The Cardinals have a chance to avenge their loss when they host the Ephs (22-8, 6-4) in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
  • Cardinals Cruise Past Colonials 10-3

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team (16-15) eased past Western Connecticut State 10-3 on Wednesday afternoon in its non-conference finale. The Cardinals will play a NESCAC West series against Williams this weekend, before wrapping up the regular-season hosting Trinity on Sunday at Palmer Field.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team (15-15) downed St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) 9-3 on Tuesday afternoon. The Bears conclude the regular season with a record of 15-20-1.
  • Baseball Drops Pair of Games at Middlebury

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Wesleyan baseball team (14-15, 4-5) dropped a pair of close games at Middlebury on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers (20-9, 5-4) triumphed 5-2 in game one, and despite a strong comeback in the second contest, the Cardinals fell 6-4. 
  • Late Pair of Runs Lifts Wesleyan Past Middlebury, 4-2

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Wesleyan baseball team (14-13, 4-3) scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie, as the Cardinals took the first game of a key NESCAC West series 4-2 from Middlebury (18-9, 3-4) Saturday at Forbes Field. The three-game series concludes on Sunday with a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m. 
  • Cardinals Come From Behind to Down Coast Guard 9-5 in Extra Innings

    NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team (13-13) came from behind to defeat Coast Guard 9-5 in extra innings on Wednesday. Down 4-2 in the ninth inning, the Cardinals knotted the game 4-4 to send it into extra innings, before five runs in the 10th propelled Wesleyan past the Bears (15-16).  
  • Wesleyan Knocks Off No. 11 Wheaton, 3-2

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team (12-13) knocked off No. 11 Wheaton (25-7) on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-2 victory. The Cardinals scored three runs in the fifth, including a two-run double by Andrew Kauf, to propel themselves past the Lyons.  
  • Baseball Blanked By Roger Williams 7-0

    BRISTOL, R.I. – The Wesleyan baseball team (11-13) suffered a 7-0 loss on the road at Roger Williams (11-16) on Tuesday. This was just the third meeting between the two teams, as they split a pair of games last year in the inaugural doubleheader.

    LEWISTON, Maine – The Wesleyan baseball team (11-12) fell to Bates (10-11) in game one by a score of 4-2, but rallied in the second game to triumph 10-3 against the Bobcats on Saturday. 
  • Cardinals Outlast Golden Bears 3-2

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Wesleyan baseball team (10-11) outlasted Western New England University (14-8) to earn a 3-2 victory on the road on Thursday. With two outs and runners on first and third in the bottom of the eighth, Jake Alonzo struck out the first batter he faced to earn the save on the mound for the Cardinals. 
  • Baseball Defeated by Hamilton, 11-5

    The Wesleyan baseball team trailed by two runs for most of the game, but Hamilton pulled away with a three-run top of the eighth followed by an insurance run in the ninth to win 11-5 on Sunday afternoon at Dresser Diamond.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan baseball team triumphed 3-1 over visiting Hamilton in the first game of the day, but fell 6-2 in the second to split the doubleheader. The teams will square off for the series win in the 60th all-time meeting on Sunday at noon.

    AMHERST, Mass. – The Wesleyan baseball team (7-9, 2-1) took the first game of a doubleheader 4-2 against Amherst (7-6, 1-2) on Saturday, before the Mammoths rallied to edge the Cardinals 3-2 in game two. On Friday night, Wesleyan downed Amherst 4-2 at home, recording a 2-1 series win over Amherst on NESCAC opening weekend.

    TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wesleyan baseball team (2-5) split a doubleheader with Luther on Friday evening. The Cardinals edged the Norse 4-3 during the first game of the series, but fell 9-1 in game two. Wesleyan is back in action on Sunday when it takes on Saint John’s (Minn.) at 3:30 p.m.
  • Ninth Inning Rally Leads Saint John’s Past Wesleyan 12-11

    TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wesleyan baseball team (2-6) was edged 12-11 by Saint John’s (Minn.) when the Johnnies (12-1) used a ninth-inning rally to propel them past the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals are off on Monday before playing a doubleheader against Grinnell on Tuesday, with the first game beginning at 3:00 p.m.

    TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wesleyan baseball team suffered a 15-5 setback against Nebraska-Wesleyan on Friday evening. The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, when they take on Luther in a doubleheader beginning at 5:00 p.m.

  • Baseball Opens 2019 Campaign in Arizona on Spring Trip

    TUCSON, Ariz. – The Wesleyan baseball team opened it’s 2019 campaign on Sunday evening, falling to St. Thomas (Minn.) 11-3. The Cardinals had a quick turnaround and were outlasted by Carthage 14-8 on Monday.
