    Senior wide receiver Mike Breuler of the Wesleyan University football team was named the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week for his stellar performance in Saturday’s come-from-behind victory over Tufts in overtime, 24-17.
  • Piccirillo Leads Incredible Comeback as Wesleyan Defeats Tufts in Overtime, 24-17

    Trailing by 14 with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation, junior quarterback Mark Piccirillo help orchestrate an incredible comeback as the Wesleyan University football team defeated Tufts University Saturday night in overtime, 24-17. Piccirillo found senior captain Eric Meyreles in the corner of the end zone for a 24-yard score with :06 on the clock, and minutes later connected with senior Mike Breuler for a 14-yard game winning touchdown in OT. On the Jumbos’ ensuing possession, senior captain Shayne Kaminiski sealed the victory with an interception.

    The Wesleyan University football team added a new member to its coaching staff, as former player Matt Coyne ’12 returns to the program to serve as the Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for the 2017 season. In addition, Sean Stanley has been promoted to Run Game Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach.
