Katlyn Paiva knocked in on a loose ball in a scramble as time expired to lift the Connecticut College field hockey team to a 3-2 victory over Wesleyan University on a rainy night in New London. The Cardinals fall to 4-11 and finished 2-8 in the NESCAC, while Connecticut College closes out the season 5-10 with a 2-8 mark in conference play.
Lauren Yue answered a Conn. College goal at 17:11 to tie the game at one. And Hannah Plappert knotted the score at 2-2 when she knocked in a loose ball at 61:56. Plappert closes out the regular season with a team-best 21 points on eight goals and five assists while Yue finished second on the squad with nine points this fall.
Sarah Grundy finished with 12 saves in the setback.
