MAITLAND, Fla. – The Wesleyan men's crew team opened the spring portion of its season with a trio of first-place finishes at the Spring Break Race hosted by Rollins College at Lake Maitland. The V8 (L>R in photo: Harrison Malec, Jimmy McShane, Dominik Sobieszek, Jack Sheffer, Theo Simko, Brendan Joyce, Ben Lynch, Luke Forsthoefel and Will Humphrey) beat the University of Florida, cruising to first place with a time of 5:48.1. The second V8 beat out two University of Florida boats, clocking in at 6:07.3. Wesleyan's two boats were the only entered in the V4 "B" race as boat A placed first with a time of 6:50.6, while boat B completed the course in 6:57.7. The Cardinals will race again on March 30th when they host Coast Guard.
