Golf Wraps up Fall Season at NESCAC Qualifier

NEWINGTON, Conn. – The Wesleyan University golf team finished 10th overall at the 2017 NESCAC Men's Qualifier, and were led by Zach Lambros '17 who was the Cardinals' top finisher with a 159 after two days of competition in Newington, Conn. at the Indian Hill Country Club.

INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Lambros finished in a tie for 21st among all players after shooting an 80 on day one and a 79 on day two.
  • Wesleyan finished with a combined 708, which was 27 strokes behind ninth-place Bowdoin.
  • Brian Gerner '18 finished second on the Cardinals' lineup this weekend, combining for a 179 to tie for 44th.
  • Trinity's Kole Kelly (143) and Will Rosenfield (144) led all individuals, as the Bantams won the tournament with a two-day card of 582.
  • Trinity, Williams, Tufts, and Amherst finished in the top-4 to qualify for the NESCAC Men's Golf Championship in April.
