MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - No. 14 Navy showed their strength against the 31st-ranked Wesleyan University men's squash team on Sunday at the Rosenbaum Squash Center, defeating the Cardinals 9-0 in the final match in Middletown this season. Navy moves to 14-7 with the win, while Wesleyan ends their regular season with a 4-13 record.
Freshman Sean Choi was the only Cardinal to win a game, taking the No. 1 spot over Jack Herold before running out of gas to fall 11-13, 11-3, 11-6, 11-5. Sophomore Premchai Bunsermvicha started well and had opportunities at the beginning of his match, but was unable to close and eventually lost to Greg Hyer 12-10, 11-3, 11-0.
- Wesleyan will travel to Upstate New York next weekend for the NESCAC Championships hosted by Hamilton College, starting on Friday, February 2nd. The seeds and draw will be determined during the week, but all eleven NESCAC teams will be participating in the three-day event.
