Men's Squash Concludes Dual-Match Season with 7-2 Win Over Stanford

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The No. 31 Wesleyan men's squash team concluded its 2017-18 season with a 7-2 win over No. 32 Stanford on Sunday in the Conroy Cup consolation bracket of the CSA National Team Championships.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Freshman Sean Choi—the NESCAC Rookie of the Year—concluded his impressive dual match season with a four-set win over Yousef Hindy in the No. 1 spot by scores of 13-11, 7-11, 11-9, 14-12.
  • Williams Bienstock '20 picked up a win in the No. 3 position. Despite dropping the first set (11-5), he rallied three straight wins of 11-7, 11-6, 11-7 to claim the victory.
  • Wesleyan grabbed wins in the No. 5 – 9 spots.
  • Kevin Le '19, Alex Dreyfus '20, William Coburn '21 and Premchai Bunsermvicha '20 each swept their opponents while Jackson Rubinoff '21 claimed a 3-1 win in the No. 7 slot.
  • Le took the No. 5 spot (11-5, 11-9, 11-7), Dreyfus claimed the No. 6 position decisively (11-2, 11-5, 11-3), Coburn won handily in the No. 8 spot (11-3, 11-4, 11-9), and Bunsermvicha edged Ben Esposito in the No. 9 spot (11-7, 13-11, 12-10).
