Choi and Prasad to Compete at CSA Individual National Championships

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – All-NESCAC First Team selections Sean Choi and Aditi Prasad will compete in the 2019 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championships Friday-Sunday, March 1-3 at the Nicol Squash Club (Moses Brown School) in Providence, R.I. Brown University will serve as host of the tournament.

Choi returns to the national tournament for a second-straight season and will compete in the Molloy South B Division as the No. 14 seed. The 2018 NESCAC Rookie of the Year will face 13th-seeded Grant Sterman of Brown on Friday at 9:50 a.m. The winner advances to the Quarterfinals scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will face the winner of Callum Sondhi (Hamilton) and Jonathan Lentz (Navy). Choi finished the dual match season with a 10-10 record in the No. 1 position.

Prasad will compete in the national tournament for the first time in her career following a stellar sophomore season. She earned the No. 6 seed in the Holleran South B Division and will face fifth-seeded Brooke Herring of Drexel on Friday at 1 p.m. The winner will play at 6:20 p.m. the same day against the winner of Nikita Joshi (Yale) and Emme Leonard (Princeton). In her first season playing in the No. 1 slot, Prasad posted an identical record as Choi with a 10-10 mark.
