HADLEY, Mass.- Sophomores Brandon Pearson and Ali Pourmaleki of the Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team earned All-NESCAC honors following their performances at the conference championship this past weekend. In addition, Devon O'Nalty was named the NESCAC Diving Coach of the Year, as announced Tuesday by the league office.

Pearson claimed third in the 1-meter diving event, as he set a new school record with a finals score of 501.75. He also finished third in the 3-meter event with a finals mark of 482.15.

Pourmaleki finished in third place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.55, good enough for a new Wesleyan record. His time is also an NCAA "B" qualifying mark, and currently ranks 25th in the country for all Division III Swimmers.

O'Nalty, who is in his sixth year as the diving coach at Wesleyan, also helped guide Ethan Chupp '18 to ninth and tenth place finishes in the 1-and 3-meter dives, and Nick Cimino '19 to an 11th place finish in the 1-meter event. Pearson also qualified for the Division III Regional Diving Championships, which will be held Feb. 26-27 on the campus of Wellesley College.
