Pearson Qualifies For NCAA Diving Championships

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Sophomore diver Brandon Pearson of the Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team took home a third place finish in the 1-meter diving championship, and fifth place in the 3-meter dive at the 2016 NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships to qualify for the national postseason meet.

Pearson's score of 469.20 in the 1m was good for third place, behind William Porter of Marine Academy and Matthew Rohrer of Tufts, respectively. He also totaled a score of 423.45 in the 3m event to take fifth.

The Wayzata, Minn. native will compete in the diving portion of the Division III NCAA Championships, which will be held March 16-19 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
