Cardinals Compete on Day One of NESCAC Championship

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The 2019 NESCAC men's swimming and diving championship weekend kicked off on Thursday evening on the campus of Middlebury College. The Cardinals "A" relay team (Jeffrey Haegelin, Jared Christopher, Max Wimer and Nicolas Moran) touched the wall in 7:19.90 which was good for 11th place overall. The "B" team composed of Andrew Schwartz, Garrett Kaufmann, Julian DeMann and Evan Sullivan, clocked in at 7:35.70. 

Williams won the lone-event, the 800-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 6:34.03. The time was a NESCAC, meet and pool record, as well as an NCAA B-cut consideration time.

Wesleyan is back in action on Friday with preliminary heats beginning at 10 a.m.
