Men's Track and Field Finishes Seventh at NESCAC Championships

AMHERST, Mass. - The Wesleyan University men's track and field team placed seventh amongst the 11 teams competing in the NESCAC Championships, which were held today at Amherst College.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Senior Taylor Titcomb finished in sixth place in the 5,000 run, crossing the line with a finals time of 15:02.99
  • Keith Conway '16 finished fourth overall in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 31:19.59.
  • Tate Knight '18 took fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a mark of 9:33.99.
  • In the 200 meter dash, Drew Trotman '18 took 13th with a mark of 22.96.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS

  • Andrew McCracken '19 took home third place in the pole vault event with his mark of 4.40 meters.
  • In the discus throw, Agbon Edomwonyi '16 took home second place with a throw of 45.04. He also placed sixth in the hammer throw with a finals mark of 46.60m.
