The Lead: The Wesleyan University men's track and field team opened up its 2016-17 indoor campaign at the Wagner Invitational. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Andrew McCracken '19 earned a sixth place finish in the pole vault event as he cleared 4.05m, while Jessy Carrasco-Gonzalez '18 finished 13th with a mark of 3.45.
  • Olaniyi Adebayo '19 had an impressive throw of 10.25m in the shot put event, while Ricardo Vazquez '20 had a throw of 10.07m.
  • In the weight throw Owen Daly-Smith '19 notched a mark of 10.16m while Vazquez was able to earn a mark of 9.25m.
  • Kyle Shin '20 ran the 200-meter dash in 24.21 while Carrasco-Gonzalez finished with a time of 24.40.
  • In the 400-meter dash, Drew Trotman '18 crossed the line with a time of 54.43.
  • Colin Mahoney '18 finished the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:06.21.

  • The Cardinals return to the track on Saturday, January 14th as they will host the Little Three meet beginning at 1 p.m.
