Men's Track & Field Performs Well at Amherst Spring Fling

AMHERST, Mass. – The Wesleyan University men's track & field team competed Saturday at the Amherst Spring Fling meet, highlighted by second-place finishes in individual events by Kevin DeLoughry '21 and Andrew McCracken '19.

DeLoughry, a Westwood, N.J. native, ran a 50.22 in the 400-meter dash, finishing behind only Irie Gourde of Brandeis (49.29). Wesleyan had another high finish in the 400m from Kyron Roberts '21, who posted a 51.31 to take fourth overall.

DeLoughry performed well in the 200m, securing a sixth-place finish (23.21).

In the pole vault, McCracken finished in second (4.25m).

Grant van Inwegen '20 excelled in his two events, earning fourth-place recognition in the 1,500m (4:03.90) and seventh in the 800m (2:01.32).

The Cardinals will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational from April 13-14 in New London, Conn.
