  • Grant Named NEHWA Division III All-Star

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Wesleyan’s Allegra Grant of the women’s ice hockey team adds another accolade to her list of postseason honors as she was named a New England Hockey Writers Association (NEHWA) Division III All-Star. NEHWA will recognize Grant and the other award winners when it hosts its annual dinner on April 17th.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Goaltender Allegra Grant of the Wesleyan women’s ice hockey team was named to the All-American East Second Team, as selected by the members of the American Hockey Coaches Association and announced by the AHCA office on Thursday evening at the Frozen Four banquet.

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey fell 3-0 at Williams in a NESCAC Quarterfinal matchup on Saturday. With the loss, the Cardinals conclude the season with an 8-15-2 record, while the Ephs (18-4-3) advance to the NESCAC Semifinals.
  • Women’s Hockey Heads to No. 1 Williams for NESCAC Quarterfinal

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team will head to No. 7 Williams on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. NESCAC Quarterfinal matchup. The Cardinals earned the eighth seed in the tournament, finishing the regular season with an 8-15-1 overall mark (4-11-1 NESCAC). The Ephs are the top-seed for the first time in the tournament, boasting a 17-4-3 overall record and a 10-4-2 conference mark.
  • Wesleyan Falls to Amherst 2-1 In Regular Season Finale

    AMHERST, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey (8-15-1, 4-11-1) fell 2-1 at Amherst (12-10-2, 8-6-2) during its regular season finale on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals will be the eighth-seed in the upcoming NESCAC tournament and will head to No. 9 Williams, the top-seed, on Saturday for a quarterfinal contest at 3:00 p.m.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (5-11-1) scored three-straight goals, but its comeback attempt fell short as the University of New England (14-6-1) notched the game-winner with 3:08 remaining to edge the Cardinals 4-3.
  • Women’s Hockey Blanks Bowdoin 4-0

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (5-10-1, 2-7-1) earned a 4-0 shutout against Bowdoin (3-14-1, 2-8-0) on Saturday afternoon during its “Pink in the Rink” game. The game was dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness in honor of senior Jackie Kilar’s late mother Joan B. Kilar. Joan was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer and tragically lost her battle in 2014. Her courageous response, strength to meet new challenges and desire to go on with life, left a lasting impression on the entire Kilar family and the Wesleyan women’s hockey team.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (2-1-0) fell to Manhattanville College 2-1 in the Codfish Bowl Championship game hosted by UMass-Boston on Sunday. The Cardinals advanced to the title game after defeating the hosts 2-1, while the Spartans’ (5-0-1) shutout Bowdoin 4-0 to move on to Sunday’s championship. In the consolation contest, UMass-Boston triumphed 2-0 over Bowdoin.
