Women’s Soccer Game on Wednesday Changed to 6:30 p.m. at Smith Field

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University women's soccer game on Wednesday, Oct. 11, against visiting Rhode Island College has been moved to a 6:30 p.m. start at Smith Field in Middletown, Conn.

The game was originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Citrin Field, as the Cardinals (5-5-1, 1-5-1 NESCAC) will look to improve to 5-0 in non-conference action this season. Wesleyan has outscored its previous four out-of-conference opponents, 14-0.

Junior captain Lauren Goetzman has compiled a tremendous campaign, leading the team with four goals, and contributing with eight points and two game winners. Freshman midfielder Emily Ribatt has hit the ground running during her rookie season, leading the team with nine points on three goals and three assists, while junior forward Liz Young leads the squad with three game-winning markers. Junior midfielder Sophia Linguiti has played her role exceptionally well, leading the Cardinals with four assists.
