Wesleyan Women's Squash Defeats Williams Smith and Northeastern Lead by Senior Captains Doherty and Bayless

The Wesleyan Women's Squash team defeated both Williams Smith College and Northeastern 7-2 and 9-0 respectively, as first year players and Senior Captains all pulled out big wins.

In the first match of the day, Wesleyan defeated Williams Smith 7 matches to two. Everyone played very well with both first years and captains all pulling out wins.  Sophmore Laila Samy, Senior Captain Liza Bayless and Freshman Ale Lampietti all pulled out straight set victories. Samy won her match in dominate fashion, defeating her opponent, Allison Rubin 11-4, 11-2 and 11-3. Senior Captain Bridget Doherty, Sophomore Tatum Leclair, Freshman Ali Imperiale and Freshman Anna Knes also won their matches for Wesleyan. 

In the second match of the day, Wesleyan defeated Northeastern 9-0. Samy, Bayless, Doherty, Leclair, Imperiale, Lampietti all won their matches in straight sets. Senior Ellen Paik, Senior Tessa Hill and Freshman Anna Knes also won their matches in straight sets. 

The Cardinals improve to 2-2 on the season and next play Friday December 11 at home against Connecticut College at 6:30 p.m. at the Rosenbaum Squash Center.
