The Lead: The No. 23 Wesleyan University women's squash team lost to No. 17 Amherst College and No. 11 Williams College by a score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon at the Little Three Championships, hosted by Amherst.

AMHERST / WESLEYAN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Laila Samy '18 won the lone Wesleyan match as she continues to excel for the Cardinals. The junior from Cairo, Egypt earned a 3-0 sweep over Kim Krayacich in the No. 1 position, 11-2, 11-4, 11-6.

WILLIAMS / WESLEYAN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Samy also won the only match for the Cardinals against Williams as she swept the No. 1 position by scores of 11-2, 11-9, 11-2 against Nicole Friedman.

UP NEXT:

  • The Cardinals return to Amherst, Mass. next weekend for the three-day NESCAC Championships beginning Friday, Feb. 3 and ending Sunday, Feb. 5.
