Women’s Squash Downs Connecticut College, 9-0, on Friday

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — The Wesleyan University women's squash team cruised to a 9-0 win over Connecticut College on Friday night at the Rosenbaum Squash Center in Middletown, Conn. The Cardinals improved to 3-2 on the season, while the Camels fell to 2-4. 

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Sophomore Josie Russ won the tightest match of the night, topping Denise Bonilla in five games, 11-2, 8-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-4.
  • Fellow sophomore Sofia Melian-Morse was one of the first winners of the match for Wesleyan, cruising past Phoebe Pilakas 11-7, 11-5, 11-8.
  • Freshman Aditi Prasad was on and off the court quickly in her victory, beating Margaret Davey quite efficiently, 11-3, 11-3, 11-5.
