CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW
The Cardinals, who finished 10-4 overall and 6-4 in league play, enter the three-day tournament as the No. 5 seed and will face fourth-seeded Bowdoin College in first round action Friday at 9 a.m. The winner of that match will advance to the second round Saturday, and will face top-seeded Williams at 9 a.m.

Wesleyan, ranked No. 8 in the latest ITA national rankings, has won six consecutive dual matches and five in league play as it enters the tournament. Bowdoin, ranked No. 6 in the nation, is 12-5 overall and 5-3 in conference action. After opening the season 10-1, the Polar Bears have gone just 2-4 since and are 1-3 in their last four NESCAC matches.

The Cardinals are making back-to-back NESCAC Championship appearances for the first time in program history, and for the third time overall since the conference went to a tournament format in 2006. Bowdoin has appeared in the conference championship each season since that time. Friday will mark a rematch of last season's first round match, in which the Polar Bears defeated Wesleyan, 5-4, before dropping to Williams in the second round, 5-1. Bowdoin also claimed a 5-4 win over the Cardinals earlier this season on April 3rd.
