WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.. – Eudice Chong '18 led the Wesleyan University women's tennis team on Day 2 of the ITA Regional Championships, winning two singles and two doubles matches alongside Victoria Yu '19, the only other Cardinal still competing at the tournament. Chong was pushed more in her two singles matches than she was yesterday, but found her way through both matches in straight sets to book a place in the semifinals tomorrow.
- Chong started the day with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Alexa Tutekcy of Babson before facing Rachel Cross of Williams, who she defeated 6-4, 6-1.
- Also in action was Aashli Budhiraja, who was unable to continue her success from Day 1, going down 6-2, 6-1 to Leah Bush of Williams.
- Chong and Yu continued their dominance. They started the day with an 8-1 win over Tess Trinka and Tasha Christ of Bowdoin, and then beat Avery Wagman and Anya Ivenitsky of Amherst 8-3.
- Tomorrow, top-seeded Chong and Yu will face off against second-seeded Juli Raventos and Julia Cancio from Williams in the doubles final. In singles, Chong will also take on Raventos in the semifinals, with the winner of that match facing the winner of Camille Smukler of Amherst and Leah Bush of Williams.
