    Wesleyan was a perfect four for four in finals at the the Tufts Invitational on Sunday, taking all four titles at the event that featured the Cardinals and three other top-10 teams in Tufts, Amherst, and MIT.
  • Cardinals Continue to Shine at Tufts Invitational

    Wesleyan’s freshmen continued to impress in their first college event on Day 2 of the Tufts Invitational, where the Cardinals still have plenty of players alive going into the final day tomorrow. Freshman Kristina Yu has not yet lost a match, advancing to tomorrow’s singles semifinals and doubles final alongside her sister Victoria. Yu’s semifinal opponent will be fellow first-year Venia Yeung, who will also be competing in the doubles backdraw final with sophomore Polina Kiseleva.

    Wesleyan’s women’s tennis team began its season on Friday at the Tufts Invitational, putting on display for the first time a very new-look roster, with four newcomers in to fill the void left from last year’s graduating seniors, who helped lead the team the NCAA Elite 8 in May, the program’s best finish in history.

    The Wesleyan University women’s tennis team is coming off its best season in program history, in which the Cardinals posted a 14-4 overall record and 7-2 mark in the ultra-competitive NESCAC. Additionally, Wesleyan reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time ever and finished the year ranked No. 5 in the country.
