  • Bellizzi Ties Program Record as Wesleyan Splits DH Against No. 9 Juniata & No. 24 Christopher Newport

    Freshman Phia Bellizzi tied a program record Saturday afternoon with 43 digs in the second match of Saturday’s doubleheader, as the Wesleyan University volleyball team split its two games against top-25 teams. The Cardinals lost their first match of 2017 in the first contest of the day against No. 9 Juniata, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-16), but responded with a thrilling 3-2 victory over No. 24 Christopher Newport (25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 25-18, 16-14).
  • Cardinals Continue to Roll; Sweep Conn. College, 3-0, For Eighth-Straight Win

    The Wesleyan University volleyball team continues to roll, as the Cardinals cruised to a commanding 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-13) sweep over Connecticut College in its 2017 home opener Thursday night. Wesleyan is now 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference, and have not lost a set all season. With the loss, the Camels drop to 6-3 on the year and 0-3 in league play.
  • Win Streak Continues; Cardinals Cruise Past Hamilton, 3-0

    Sophomores Stasie Litinsky and Nicole Hilton recorded 11 kills each with a .769 and .643 hitting percentage, respectively, while classmate Kaira Muraoka-Robertson dished out 40 assists to lead the Wesleyan University volleyball team to its seventh-consecutive win Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-12) sweep of Hamilton College.
  • Cardinals Extend Win Streak; Sweep Little Three Rival Williams in NESCAC Opener

    The Wesleyan University volleyball team extended its win streak to six as it swept Little Three rival Williams College on Friday night in its NESCAC opener, 3-0. The Cardinals are now 6-0 overall this season with six sweeps, and 1-0 in league play. The Ephs drop to 2-4 following the loss, and 0-1 in the NESCAC.
  • Volleyball Wins Fifth Straight, Sweeps Westfield State, 3-0

    The Wesleyan University volleyball team defeated non-conference foe Westfield State in a 3-0 sweep Thursday night. The Cardinals, who improve to 5-0 on the season, defeated the Owls (2-7) on the road by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-16.
  • Wesleyan Sweeps Bridgewater State and Maine Maritime; Goes 4-0 at JWU Invitational

    For the second day in a row, the Wesleyan University volleyball team (4-0) swept its doubleheader with back-to-back 3-0 victories at the Johnson & Wales Invitational. The Cardinals handled Bridgewater State (1-7) in their first match Saturday by scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-18, and followed up with a sweep of Maine Maritime (3-5) with scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-15 to finish a perfect 4-0 at the two-day tournament.
