Cardinals Compete at NESCAC Championship

The Lead: The Wesleyan University women's cross country team finished in 7th place at the NESCAC Championship, which was held at Colby College. Williams won the championship for the second straight year, and were followed by Tufts and Bates to round out the top three.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Caroline Elmendorf '17 was the top finisher for the Cardinals as she completed the 3.73 mile course in 23:48.96. 
  • Julia Mitchell '19 came in with a mark of 23:55 while Molly Schassberger '17 came in with a time of 24:27.24.
  • Sara Pinsonault '20, competing in her first NESCAC Championship, finished the race in 24:46.35.
  • Sophomore Rhoen Fiutak crossed the finish line with a mark of 25:13.59.

UP NEXT:

  • The Cardinals will race next at the NCAA New England Regional Championships, which will be held on Saturday, November 12th at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. The race will begin at 12 p.m.
