MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University fall athletic teams put a total of 60 student-athletes on the 2019 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, while seven earned a spot on the 2019 NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Middlebury ranked first in the conference with 98 student-athletes on the All-Academic list, while Williams was second with 84 and Bowdoin was third with 74. Wesleyan ranked sixth out of the 11 schools with its 60 honorees.

In order to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfer students are eligible as long as they have completed at least one year of study at the institution.

The Cardinals were led by the women's soccer team who had 14 selections, followed by the field hockey squad with 13. In all, 15 student-athletes made their third appearance on the All-Academic Team, while 12 made their second appearance. Wesleyan had five athletes who were also All-NESCAC honorees this year and five were also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The All-Sportsmanship Team is comprised of one student-athlete from each of the NESCAC schools for each sport the conference sponsors, as 75 student-athletes were recognized. Kevin McMorrow of the men's cross country team highlighted the honorees for Wesleyan, earning a spot of the team for the second-straight year.
