The Lead: The No. 20 Wesleyan University men's squash team fell to No. 17 Bates College Saturday in Day 1 of the Wesleyan Round Robin Tournament, 8-1.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- Wesleyan picked up its lone win in the No. 2 position, as David Sneed '17 defeated Darrius Campbell in a thrilling five-set match. After dropping the first set, 11-6, Sneed won set two by an 11-4 margin before falling in the third, 11-4. Down 2-1 in the match, the senior co-captain prevailed with back-to-back wins of 11-7 and 11-7.
- Grant Lounsbury '17 picked up a win in the No. 4 spot against Spencer Burt, but lost the match 7-11, 11-6, 11-7 and 11-2.
- Yahya Ladiwala '19 fell 3-1 to Graham Bonnell in the No. 5 position by scores of 11-6, 8-11, 11-6, 11-5.
