The Lead: The No. 23 Wesleyan University men's squash team went 2-0 on the day as it defeated 25th-ranked Tufts University in the 11 a.m. matchup, 6-3, and then cruised to an 8-1 win over No. 30 Haverford College later in the afternoon.

MATCH 1 HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The Cardinals took the No. 1-6 positions over the Jumbos.
  • At the top of the lineup, Chris Hart '17 defeated Alan Litman in the No. 1 spot. After dropping the first set, 11-9, he responded with three consecutive wins of 11-6, 11-5, 11-3.
  • In the No. 2 spot, David Sneed '17 swept Brett Raskopf with marks of 11-4, 12-10, 11-2, and Zach Roach '17 rallied down 1-0 (11-9) to defeat Braden Chiulli 12-10, 11-3, 11-4 in the No. 3 position.
  • Alex Kamisher '17 and Yahya Ladiwala '19 edged their opponents in the No. 3 and No. 6 positions, respectively, 3-2. Kamisher defeated Raghav Kumar 11-13, 11-4, 7-11, 11-6, 14-2, and Ladiwala hung on to defeat Cameron Ewan by scores of 12-10, 11-6, 5-11, 14-16, 11-9.
  • Wesleyan also received a 3-0 sweep by Grant Lounsbury '17 in the No. 5 spot, as he won against Connor Wind, 11-9, 11-7, 13-11.

MATCH 2 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hart, Sneed, Roach and Lounsbury all picked up wins to finish a perfect 2-0 on the day.
  • Hart swept the No. 1 position (11-8, 11-7, 11-9), Sneed won 3-1 in the No. 2 spot (11-3, 11-5, 8-11, 11-6), and Roach and Lounsbury swept their opponents in the No. 3 (11-0, 11-1, 11-9) and No. 4 (11-7, 11-3, 11-5) positions, respectively.
  • William Bienstock '20 swept the No. 5 court (11-7, 11-3, 11-5), Josh Lane '19 claimed a 3-0 sweep in the No. 6 spot (11-2, 11-8, 11-3), Alex Dreyfus '20 swept the No. 7 position (11-9, 11-5, 11-4) and Kevin Le '19 claimed a 3-0 win in the No. 8 spot (11-5, 11-7, 11-8).
