MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The 21st-ranked Wesleyan women's squash team hosted No. 17 Tufts in its 2019-20 season opener on Saturday afternoon and fell, 6-3.
"Wesleyan came out to compete in what was a very close match," said Head Coach Shona Kerr. "There were standout wins from No. 1, Aditi Prasad; No. 3, Josie Russ; and No. 9, Emma Smith. Natasha Feenstra and Annie Roach narrowly lost in five-game matches."
Prasad rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Claire Davidson in the No. 1 spot. She won by scores of 8-11, 11-13, 11-8, 11-8, 11-7. Russ won in three games, 11-8, 11-9, 11-7, and Smith swept Beverly Vo 11-7, 11-9, 12-10.
Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday, November 23 and will host St. Lawrence at 12 p.m.
