HARTFORD, Conn. – The eighth-seeded Wesleyan University women's squash team lost a pair of matches on the second day of the NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity. The Cardinals dropped their quarterfinal match against the top-seeded Bantams, 9-0, and were defeated 9-0 in the consolation round in the afternoon against fifth-seeded Tufts.
The Cardinals (6-10) return to action tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. and will face seventh-seeded Hamilton.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Cardinals were swept in all nine matches against the 12-time defending champs Trinity.
- In the second match of the day, Aditi Prasad and Nina Premutico highlighted the match.
- Prasad played to four sets in the No. 1 spot, falling short by scores of 11-4, 8-11, 11-3, 11-6.
- In the No. 4 position, Premutico lost by marks of 11-5, 8-11, 13-11, 11-4.
