Wesleyan Wraps Up Season On Final Day of NCAA Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wesleyan women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2018-19 season on the final day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championship on Saturday. The team came in 25th overall in a field of 50.The meet was highlighted by Caroline Murphy's second-straight All-American honor in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday and the 400-yard medley relay team's (Murphy, Mengmeng Gibbs, Maela Whitcomb and Grace Middleton) 15th-place All-American Honorable Mention accolade on Thursday.

On the final day of competition, the 400-yard freestyle relay (Murphy, Gibbs, Sophia Antonio and Middleton) came in 24th-place, touching the wall in 3:30.88. Murphy also competed in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 52.15, while O'Halloran touched the wall in 2:10.16 in the 200-yard backstroke.
