WATERVILLE, Maine – The 28th-ranked Wesleyan men's squash team returned to action on Saturday for the first time in over a month but the Cardinals were defeated on the road by No. 23 Colby, 9-0.
The loss snapped a two-match win streak for Wesleyan as it drops to 3-4 overall. The Mules improved to 3-1 on the year.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- Colby swept all but two matches, the No. 2 and No. 9 spots.
- In the No. 2 position, John Sutherby evened the match a 1-1 and played to extra points in the third set, but ultimately fell in four by scores of 11-1, 9-11, 12-10, 11-6.
- Trailing 2-0 in the No. 9 slot, Brinton Thomas won the third set 11-7 but fell short in the fourth.

- Wesleyan returns to action on Wednesday, January 15th and will compete at Franklin & Marshall. The match is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
