SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Wesleyan University wrestling team competed in the NEWA Futures Tournament on Saturday at Western New England, placing 14th in the field of 15 with a total of six points.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

• At 125, Greg Fischer defeated Lucas Purpora of Bridgewater State by pin in 3:35. Fischer also won a decision (4-2) over Ari Dinerman of Roger Williams.
• At 285, Harrison Karp won by decision (3-0) over Lino Azul of Springfield and also claimed a tiebreaker victory (TB-1 2-1) over Tyson Jones of Springfield.
