NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Wesleyan women's squash team competed against Bowdoin, Amherst, and Tufts in the Walker Cup (C Division) of the 2020 CSA National Team Championships.
On Friday, the Cardinals were victorious against the Polar Bears, claiming a 7-2 victory. On Saturday, the Cardinals fell to the Mammoths 9-0 and were defeated by the Jumbos on Sunday, 8-1.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- In the No. 1 position, Aditi Prasad swept Caroline Glaser of Bowdoin by a score of 11-7, 11-8, 11-9. Prasad also won her match against Claire Davidson of Tufts by a score of 9-11, 11-9, 11-1, 13-11.
- Emma Smith and Sydney Kim also swept their matches against Bowdoin, winning by scores of 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 and 11-1, 11-4, 11-6, respectively.
- In the No. 6 position, Nina Premutico was victorious in a back and forth affair against Maya Kouba-Chandar of Bowdoin, winning by a score of 11-7, 8-11, 4-11, 11-6, 11-6.
- Valeria Osorio, Natasha Feenstra, Sofia Melian-Morse, and Annie Roach were also victorious in their matches against Bowdoin.
