SARASOTA, Fla. – Wesleyan women's crew claimed fourth place at the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships for the second consecutive season, matching a program-best finish at the national regatta.
The Cardinals' Second Varsity 8 boat raced first on Saturday at the Nathan Benderson Park and finished third overall in the grand final with a time of 6:56.947. Bates took first in 6:48.503 while Hamilton placed second in 6:54.311 and Ithaca finished fourth in 6:58.963.

Roughly 24 minutes later, the Cardinals' First Varsity 8 boat took the water and placed fourth in the grand final with a time of 6:43.602. Bates won the national title as the Bobcats crossed the finished line in 6:34.872 followed by Ithaca (6:37.730) and Hamilton (6:41.058).
