MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University spring season varsity teams put a total of 192 student-athletes on the 2026 NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team. Tufts ranks first in the conference with 231 student-athletes on the All-Academic list, while Williams is second with 209. Wesleyan's 192 selections are the fourth-most in the league and the highest single-season total of NESCAC All-Academic honorees in school history. The NESCAC as a whole set a conference record with 1,800-plus All-Academic selections.
In order to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfer students are eligible as long as they have completed at least one year of study at the institution.
The Cardinals were led by the men's lacrosse program which had 34 honorees followed by men's outdoor track & field (25), women's crew (25), women's outdoor track & field (23), women's lacrosse (19), men's crew (18), baseball (14), men's golf (11), softball (8), women's tennis (6), women's golf (5), and men's tennis (4) - who made up the 192 total honorees.
The Cardinals were led by the men's lacrosse program who had 35 honorees followed by men's outdoor track & field (23), men's crew (20), women's lacrosse (19), baseball (18), women's crew (17), women's outdoor track & field (15), softball (6), men's tennis (6), women's tennis (5), women's golf (4), and men's golf (4) - who made up the 172 total honorees. There are 19 student-athletes - Jake Acker '27 (baseball), James Bailey '26 (men's lacrosse), Nelson Bellows '26 (men's crew), Pierce Buckner-Wolfson '26 (men's crew), Ben Burns '26 (men's lacrosse), Rebecca Cassel-Siskind '26 (softball), Dylan Cote '28 (men's outdoor track & field), Addie Cummings '26 (women's lacrosse), Lindsey Diomede '26 (women's lacrosse), Leila Epstein '26 (women's tennis), Lucinda Gatsiounis '28 (women's tennis), Asher Israel '26 (men's crew), Molly Lennon '26 (softball), Will Miller '26 (men's lacrosse), Sam Penn '28 (men's crew), Molly Simon '26 (women's lacrosse), Eli Smirin '26 (men's crew), Izzy Weintraub '26 (women's lacrosse), and Charlie Wilmot '26 (men's lacrosse) - who are All-Academic and All-NESCAC selections.
