MIDDLETOWN, CT. - The Wesleyan women's cross country team opened its 2026 season on Saturday with a strong second-place finish at the Little 3 Championship, placing eight runners among the meet's Top 20. Freshman Ava Bullock '30 led the Cardinals across the finish line, taking third overall.

The Cardinals finished with 43 points, trailing only Williams (22) while placing ahead of Amherst (69).

First-year standout Ava Bullock led the Cardinals across the finish line, placing third overall in the 4K with a time of 15:02.6. Classmate Clara Shingler '30 followed closely behind, taking fifth in 15:12.3.

The Cardinals' ran a solid depth performance with three more runners finishing in the top 15. Julia Robison '29 placed 10th in 15:21.3, followed by Logan Ignacio '30 in 11th at 15:22.3 and Chase Cerrell '28 in 14th at 15:29.5. Bella Migliore '28 rounded out the Cardinals' scoring five, finishing 15th in 15:33.8.
