The Lead: The Wesleyan University field hockey team fell to Bates College 3-0 on Saturday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jessie Moriarty scored two first half goals to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
- Alexa Jurgeleit would add on an insurance goal at 52:13 in the second half as Bates would claim the 3-0 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Delaney Wood '20 made five saves in the game.
- The Cardinals registered 11 shots and took seven penalty corners.
- Erica Horowitz '20 and Lauren Yue '17 each put two shots on net.
UP NEXT:
- Wesleyan returns to action on Tuesday, September 27 as they will take on NESCAC foe Tufts at 6 p.m.
- The Bobcats return to the field tomorrow, as they will host Williams at 1 p.m.
