The Lead: The Wesleyan University field hockey team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Little Three rival Williams College on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Julia Cochran got the Ephs on the board at 9:15 as she took a pass from Meredith Wright and put it past Cardinals' goaltender Claire Edelman '17 for the early 1-0 lead.
- Just over three minutes later, Wright would net her third goal on the season, giving the home team the 2-0 advantage at 12:35.
- Williams would wrap up the scoring in the second half as Katie Gallop would set up Libby Dolan for the goal at 42:51, and the Ephs would go onto claim the 3-0 victory.
- Edelman made six saves in net, while her counterpart, Margaret Draper made one.
UP NEXT:
- The Cardinals are right back it tomorrow as they will take on the Middlebury Panthers at 12 p.m.
- The Ephs are also back in action tomorrow as they will host Bowdoin for a 1 p.m. contest.
