MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Sophomore Olivia Baglieri of the Wesleyan field hockey team was named to the All-NESCAC Second Team as voted on by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office on Wednesday. She helped guide the Cardinals to their best season since 2013 and earned the team's first All-NESCAC accolade since 2015.
Baglieri concluded the season with a conference-high six defensive saves, placing her second on Wesleyan's all-time list with 13 in just her second year on the team. As a defender, she recorded a season-high three goals this year. Her most notable tally was the lone-Cardinal goal in a 1-0 triumph over then-No. 5 Tufts when she converted a penalty stroke in the third quarter. Throughout her first two years, Baglieri has played in all 30 games, starting in 29 of those contests.
