Men's Crew Places Second in Three-Team Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass. – Wesleyan University men's crew competed against Holy Cross and NESCAC foe Trinity on Sunday, as the Cardinals claimed second in all three races it competed in—the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 8.


  • The Crusaders won all three races, while Trinity competed in just the V8 and 2V8, finishing third in both.
  • In the V8, Holy Cross clocked a time of 6:07.7 and the Cardinals finished shortly after in 6:14.83.
  • The Crusaders finished six seconds ahead of the Cardinals in the 2V8 as their boat crossed the finish line in 6:11.88 and Wesleyan's crossed in 6:17.69, narrowly edging the Bantams who finished in 6:19.47.
  • In the 3V8, Holy Cross posted a time of 6:30.5 to defeat the Cardinals in a head-to-head matchup as they finished in 6:45.59.


  • Wesleyan is back in action Saturday, May 5 and will compete at the New England Rowing Championships in Worcester, Mass.
