MEDFORD, Mass. – The Wesleyan men’s crew team competed against Bates, UMASS and Tufts on Saturday morning, as the Varsity 8 and the Second Varsity 8 were both victorious in all of their races.
WORCESTER, Mass. – The men’s crew Varsity 8 and second V8 won their respective races at the Class of 2003 Cup on Saturday, while the Varsity 4 came in second.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men’s crew team swept all three events against Coast Guard during it’s lone-home meet of the year.
MAITLAND, Fla. – The Wesleyan men’s crew team opened the spring portion of its season with a trio of first-place finishes at the Spring Break Race hosted by Rollins College at Lake Maitland. The V8 (L>R in photo: Harrison Malec, Jimmy McShane, Dominic Sobieszek, Jack Sheffer, Theo Simko, Brendan Joyce, Ben Lynch, Luke Forsthoefel and Will Humphrey) beat the University of Florida, cruising to first place with a time of 5:48.1. The second V8 beat out two University of Florida boats, clocking in at 6:07.3. Wesleyan’s two boats were the only entered in the V4 “B” race as boat A placed first with a time of 6:50.6, while boat B completed the course in 6:57.7. The Cardinals will race again on March 30th when they host Coast Guard.
The Wesleyan men’s crew team had its day at the Head of the Fish cut short due to poor weather conditions.
