Men's Golf Wraps up Fall Season at NESCAC Championship Qualifier

WAYLAND, Mass. – The Wesleyan men's golf team played in the NESCAC Championship Qualifier this weekend at the Sandy Burr Country Club, hosted by Tufts, and finished eighth overall in the 10-team field with a final two-day score of 630 (323-307).

Williams won the qualifier with a score of 586, followed by Tufts (588) and Hamilton (595). The NESCAC Fall Qualifier marked the end of fall competition for the Cardinals as they will return to action in the spring.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Daniel Kraft led the way for Wesleyan as he carded a 77 on Saturday and a 74 on Sunday to finish with a 151 for the tournament, which was good for 18th-place.
  • Jacob Fain shot the lowest score for the Cardinals with a 72 on Sunday, taking 10 strokes off his Day 1 score to finish tied for 27th.
  • Noah Cate shot under 80 on both days with a 76 and 78, respectively.
  • George Blinick carded a 173 while Elliott Witdorchic carded a 175.
