    Christian Barker, Carter Hawthorne and Chad Malinowski of the Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team were named 2019 Division III Scholar All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). 
  • Five Cardinals Named to IMLCA All-Region Team

    Five members of the Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) All-Region Team (Northeast). Otto Bohan earned First Team honors, while Christian Barker, Ronan Jacoby, Colin Malarchuk, and Sean Penney were named to the Second Team.

    Four members of the Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team garnered All-American honors today, as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Highlighting the list for Wesleyan was goalie Otto Bohan who was named to the Third Team, while Christian Barker, Carter Hawthorne, Ronan Jacoby, and Colin Malarchuk earned Honorable Mention.
  • Four Cardinals Earn Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team Honors

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Four Cardinals were named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District At-Large First Teams for District 2 as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday evening. The 2018-19 awards are selected by CoSIDA and recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Carter Hawthorne (men’s lacrosse), Zach Murillo (wrestling) and Tim Sestak (men’s ice hockey) were awarded spots on the 13-person First Team, while Victoria Yu (women’s tennis) was one of 11 females selected for the honor.

    Five members of the Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team were honored by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) as they were named to the 2019 NEILA All-New England Teams this week. Highlighting the list was goalie Otto Bohan who earned First Team laurels, while Christian Barker, Ronan Jacoby, Colin Malarchuk, and Sean Penney were each named to the Second Team.

    The defending national champion Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team saw its title defense end Saturday afternoon as the 10th-ranked Cardinals lost a thriller to No. 7 Amherst in the Third Round of the NCAA Division III Championships, 16-13.

    Christian Barker, Carter Hawthorne, and Ronan Jacoby each scored three goals for the 10th-ranked Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team as the Cardinals rallied down the stretch to defeat Western New England in the Second Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships Wednesday night, 11-8.
  • Men’s Lacrosse Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament, Will Host Western New England

    The Wesleyan University men’s lacrosse team has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third consecutive season as the Cardinals earned an at-large bid with a 12-3 overall record. Wesleyan will host Western New England University (14-5), the automatic qualifier from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), in the Second Round on Wednesday, May 8 with a game time to be determined.

Headlining the group is junior goalie Otto Bohan, who was named to the First Team, while Christian Barker, Ronan Jacoby, Colin Malarchuk, and Sean Penney all received Second Team praise.

    The fifth-ranked Wesleyan men's lacrosse team concluded the 2019 regular season with a 12-2 overall record and 8-2 league ledger to earn the No. 2 seed in the NESCAC Tournament. The Cardinals will host seventh-seeded Middlebury (7-8, 4-6) in the Quarterfinals on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. with a field location to be determined based on weather.
