Series and Streaks

Wesleyan has won in back-to-back years to improve to 4-1-0 in the all-time series. Salve Regina's only win came in 1999 in Newport, 2-1, before the series went dormant until 2014.

Three Stars of the Game

1 – Wesleyan sophomore Charlie Livingstone (Pelham, N.Y.) was everywhere distributing the ball for his forwards, while challenging and taking possession from the Seahawks.

2 – Wesleyan senior Hans Erickson (Amherst, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season with a persistent effort on a loose ball.

3 – Wesleyan senior Max Jones who scored a goal and accounted for an assist on freshman Komar Martinez-Paiz first collegiate goal 

Key Stats of the Game

Wesleyan committed two fouls in the box both resulting in penalty kick goals for Salve. Wesleyan outshot Salve 19-13, had 10 corner kicks to Salve's three. Fouls were 11 for Wes, 8 for Salve and The Cardinals ended up with four saves while Salve had four. 

Turning Point

In a span of 2:39 early in the second half, Wesleyan got first goals of the season from Komar Martinez-Paiz (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Erickson to go up by three, 4-1.
