Brandon Pearson Wins Two Events as Wesleyan Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Third at CT Cup

The Wesleyan men's swimming and diving team had another excellent day in the pool, finishing third at the CT Cup, behind stellar performances by Brandon Pearson and Alex Kapphahn.

Wesleyan won the Men's 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:37.75
Back: Alexander Kapphahn (24.62)
Breast: Jacques Bazile (27.07)
Fly: Spencer Tan (24.28)
Free: Ali Pourmaleki (21.78)

Alex Kapphahn captured victories in the 100 Back and 200 Free events.

Brandon Pearson (302.15) won the 1 and 3 meter diving events, and in the 3-meter diving event, Pearson qualified to compete at the Regional NCAA Qualifying Championships to be held at Wellesley College on February 26th & 27th.

Ali Pourmaleki finished 3rd in the Men's 200 Butterfly in a season best performance ( 2:00.51).

Ethan ChuppBrandon Pearsonay of diving as well finishing 2nd behind teammate Brandon Pearson on the 1-Meter board with 260.30 pts & 3rd on the 3-Meter board (227.70).

Spencer Tang finished 3rd in the Men's 100 Back (53.79) & in the Men's 50 Back (25.49).
