Steve Rogers enters his fourth season as an assistant to both the men's and women's teams in 2019-20, highlighted by the University’s first women’s team NCAA Championship in 2019.
He brings over 20 years of high-performance coaching experience to the Cardinal program. Rogers has worked as a hitting coach for WTA and ATP players such as Maria Sharapova, Daniella Hantuchova, Jelena Jankovic and Paul Henri Mathieu at the IMG/Bollettieri Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He has also worked as a travel coach for top-ranked ITF and USTA ranked juniors. In addition to being a top player in his own right, Rogers is a Professional Tennis Registry certified coach and has additional certifications in sports psychology, and strength and conditioning.
